Certificate in SSBA Construction Diving to 30M - Level 4

Occupational Scuba Part 1 and Occupational SSBA Part 2

What will I learn?

We focus on safety and competency in Surface Supply Breathing Apparatus (SSBA) diving with commercial uses. You’ll get a lot of practical experience during this course and workplace projects may also be included. Some of the modules taught include:

  • Use of communications equipment and protocols
  • Underwater maintenance and construction projects
  • Use of tools and equipment underwater (hand, pneumatic, hydraulic and power)
  • Search, recovery, rescue and dealing with air supply, compression/decompression issues and emergencies

Graduates are able to work as construction divers to a depth of 30 meters using Scuba and Surface Supply Breathing Apparatus, can safely conduct construction and commercial diving tasks at depth with a range of equipment and can effectively manage the risks inherent in these activities.

  • Certificate in SSBA Construction Diving to 30m (Level 4)
  • ADAS Occupational Scuba Part 1 and Occupational SSBA Part 2
  • Diver Alert Network "oxygen provision for diving emergencies" and "first aid" certifications
  • AS/NZ 2815.1 & AS/NZ 2815.2

2018 Tuition Fees:

2018 $15,280.00 (12-week course) fees. 



  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Complete the ADAS LLN (Language Literacy and Numeracy) online test
  • Commercial Dive Medical by a Designated Diving Doctor in accordance with AS/NZS 2299.1

We are an in-shore facility and we dive at Lake Puketirini in Huntly!
